The new flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Sharjah gains another direct Amman connection as Air Arabia expands its Jordan network.

Flight G9 169 will depart Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and land in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return service, G9 170, will leave Amman at 11:20 a.m. It will arrive in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Air Arabia has opened reservations through its website, call center and travel agency network. The airline announced the route on October 8, more than one month before the first scheduled flight.

The Sharjah launch expands Air Arabia Group’s existing network in Jordan. The group already serves Amman from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi connects Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. The group also operates direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah route adds another departure point for passengers traveling to the Jordanian capital.

Second Amman airport joins Sharjah network

Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali said the service gives travelers another airport option in Amman. He said the new connection will provide added convenience and flexibility for customers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The carrier will continue operating its existing Sharjah flights to Queen Alia International Airport. Amman City Airport will therefore become a second Jordanian capital gateway on Air Arabia’s Sharjah schedule.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport earlier in 2026. The service began on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. The Abu Dhabi operation already served Queen Alia International Airport before adding the second Amman airport. Air Arabia said the expanded Abu Dhabi schedule provided 10 weekly flights to Amman when the new service began. The two-airport model will now extend to Sharjah.

Four weekly flights expand UAE-Jordan connections

The new Sharjah flights will use the G9 169 and G9 170 service numbers throughout the published schedule. Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network. The airline also provides SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can book the new Amman City Airport service through the carrier’s regular sales channels before operations begin in November.

The November launch broadens Air Arabia Group’s connections between the UAE and Jordan through several operating bases. Sharjah passengers will have direct access to Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Abu Dhabi passengers already have service to both airports through Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also has a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The new route will add four weekly Sharjah flights to the group’s wider Jordan schedule.
